Cycling Events The Journey of Hope and Gear Up Florida are the two premier cycling events organized by Push America. Both teams are made up of undergraduate and alumni members from colleges and universities across the country. Once accepted to the team, each team member commits himself to raising money to support the projects and programs of Push America. This money benefits people with disabilities through the various other projects of Push America. Along the routes, team members participate in a variety of events, in an effort to improve the lives of people with disabilities. From dances with local organizations that serve people with disabilities, to on-field presentations at Major League Baseball Games, the team members become full-time advocates for individuals with disabilities. They also perform dozens of Kids on the Block puppet shows for elementary school children, as well as other programs to educate children on the abilities of people with disabilities.
